Catholic School Council Elections

Dear Parents and Guardians

The purpose of the Catholic School Council is to help to improve student achievement and well-being as well as enhance the accountability of the education system to parents.  School Councils are advisory organizations and the primary means of achieving their purpose is by making recommendations to the principal of the school and to the school board for the benefit of all students in the school.

Our Council consists up to 23 representatives and we hope you will participate.  Meetings are held approximately four to six times per year, on weekday evenings, with additional committee involvement if you are interested.  It is important for all members to commit for the full year and attend all meetings.

If you are interested in participating on Council, please complete the Council Candidate Declaration / Nomination Form (attached)  SBE CSC Nomination Form    and return to the school office by Friday September 14th at 4:00 pm.  The first meeting of  the year will take place on Monday September 17th at 7 pm in the multi-purpose room.  If an election is needed, it will occur at that time.

If you are unable to commit as a Council member, please feel free to attend the meetings and participate in the discussion. It is important that all voices be heard.

I thank you for your on-going support and I look forward to working with you.

Sincerely,

Mrs. deHaas
