ECO Week – April 16-23

A reminder of our Plastic Bag Challenge. Elementary schools from across Canada are being challenged to collect as many plastic bags as they can for recycling. Schools that collect the most bags per student and show their enthusiasm for the challenge are eligible to win prizes to support environmental initiatives in their school.

Inclement Weather Day

ECO School Update – Litterless Lunches

Dear St. Bernadette Families,

For the remainder of the year, Wednesdays have been designated as Litterless Lunch Days at St. Bernadette’s in an effort to reduce waste. Our ECO team has calculated through a waste audit, that each student generates approximately 8.6 kg of waste and 8.8 kg of recycling per year at school.
