Catholic School Council Information

Dear Parents and Guardians,

The purpose of the Catholic School Council is to help to improve student achievement and well-being as well as enhance the accountability of the education system to parents.  School Councils are advisory organizations and the primary means of achieving their purpose is by making recommendations to the principal of the school and to the school board for the benefit of all students in the school.  See Policy 606- Catholic School Councils for more information.

Our Council is made up of 21 member representatives and this year, four meetings will be held virtually on the following dates:

Monday, October 4th @ 7 pm

Monday, November 29th @ 7 pm

Monday, February 28th @ 7 pm

Monday, May 16th @ 7 pm

It is important for all members to commit for the full year and attend all meetings due to quorum.

If you are interested in participating in the St. Bernadette Catholic School Council, please complete the Council Nomination Google Form by Friday, October 1st at 4:00 pm.

The first meeting of the year will take place on Monday, October 4th at 7:00 pm.  If an election is needed, it will occur at that time.

If you are unable to commit as a Council member, please feel free to attend the meetings and participate in the discussion. It is important that all voices be heard.

I thank you for your on-going support and I look forward to working with you.

Sincerely,

Mrs. deHaas
