Thank you for taking the time to meet with your child’s teachers last week to discuss the progress report and a snapshot of their learning this year. If you were unable to connect with your child’s teacher, please do not hesitate to contact the office to set up an interview time.
Ontario Bullying Awareness Week takes place November 21st-27th. Students will be reciting our St. Bernadette daily pledge and following up with activities in the classroom. See YCDSB Policy 223- Bullying Prevention and Intervention and Bullying Information Tip Sheet for more information. If your child is being bullied, stay calm and contact the school for support. We will all work together to stop it.
The Santa Claus Festival of Lights Parade will be taking place in Sutton this year on Saturday, December 4th from 5-7 pm. Please let us know if you wish to assist in creating a float on behalf of St. Bernadette CES. Please fill out the Google Form no later than Tuesday, November 23rd.
A reminder from the Parish that the final registration for First Holy Communion will take place this week on Tuesday, November 23rd or Wednesday, November 24th from 6:30pm to 8pm at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Keswick. The children will be expected to recite their prayers by heart and the applicable fee is payable at this time.
The York Catholic Parent Involvement Committee will be co-hosting a webinar with the Pine River Institute Centre for Family Initiatives entitled Surviving the Holidays: The most wonderful stressful time of the year. The webinar is scheduled for Thursday, December 9th at 7 pm and all are welcome to attend.
